Running the installer. The SSI Solution Pack installer requires Delphi command line compiler. Turbo Explorer comes without the command line compiler and SSP cannot be instaled into it. Turbo Professional also often comes without the command line compiler, but the command line compiler is available to registered users as a separate download. When the command line compiler is downloaded, SSP can be installed into Turbo Professional.

Upgrading to Turbo Professional and downloading the command line compiler is the only way to install the trial version of the SSP and the recommended way to install the full version of the SSP.

Manual installation If you already have SSP installed for another version of Delphi, you can install SSP manually into Turbo Professional. Even with Turbo Explorer, which does not support installation of 3d-party packages into the component palette, you can compile SSP applications, including all the examples that come with the SSP.

It is even possible to edit forms containing SSP components as text in any text editor. Thus, Turbo Explorer can be used to evaluate Turbo Professional with SSP applications.
